This script sounds very familiar, Western donors fund projects through governments in Africa, African "leaders" embezzle the funds, furious development partners huff and puff, demand transparency and suspend aid. This is replayed over and over again, in Kenya, the British government decides it will directly fund the projects without involving the Kenyan government. Frustrated at the governments lethargy in dealing with state officials who gobbled up funds meant for free primary education, That's why Aid is bad, very bad for Africa!
